To answer this kind of question, you must first determine how much work is involved in completing the job, measured in person hours. (One person working for one hour does one person-hour of work). In this question, there are five people working for six hours per day, so the amount of work done per day is 5 x 6 = 30 person-hours. The work continues for 16 days, so the total amount of work done is 16 x 30 = 480 person-hours.

Now you could say that, at the extremes, one person cold do the job in a continuous shift of 480 hours, or 480 people could work together to complete the job in one hour. Can you continue from there, for the scenario given in the question?
