How good is a career in mechanical engineering from UAE.
I want to know the opportunities one will get there after pursuing a career from there.

United Arab Emirates is the new LA of east. That sounds so much extravaganzas, luxuries and money!! But on the darker side the education of UAE isn't much widely reputed nor technically looked as concretely sound. Yes!! if you are mechanical graduate from one of the colleges from UAE then you may have tough time getting jobs in the west (dont know the scenario or respect for UAE in east) .
Even, ironically UAE recruits us (yess!!) they recruit people of West to come and set up the entrepreneur's empire or some technological firms! They value the western people so much so that UAE is no less than NY or LA now. So if you are Mech Engineer from elsewhere and finding a job in UAE then you are all set to land in luxuries of the world, else if you are Mech Engineer graduated from UAE itself and seeking job in west, you may have hard times. You may get a job there only then it will be good to go for you !!

In the UAE you may try in Oil and Gas / Construction / Hotels / Learning and Development / Automotive / Telecommunication . However, minimum 3 years post qualification experience is essential. Normally they don't take foreigners at Entry level. Good communication skill and Driving License would be added advantage
