same stuff non Muslims wear.

Whatever they fancy? A dress which covers them a bit if they want to/are required to dress conservatively, a sari, salwar kameez...

Same things that non-Muslim girls wear!

I wore a corset and floor-length gathered skirt to my ball...the corset did have off-the-shoulder ruffle straps though, so it was pretty modest!
Im a muslim & u dont have to wear a sirwal kameez because thats not a religious dress that a cultural dress i think its what pakistanis , indians etc wear , but for e.g i would a gorgeous dress long prefrebly & something over or under it, + we can look just as good as anyone else

Churidhars and saris can be gorgeous! With lots of bracelets...

I don't know much about what muslims are gonna wear! I'm of Indian origin(Telugu)
Im going now ,
I shall see the reply when im back
Looking forward to it
i want a salwar

i think i'd look like a super awesome mage
Anything within reason
I have a muslim friend and she wore a gorgeous gold satin Kimono-style floor length gown, with long sleeves. It was all jewelled and embroidered and she fitted right in, and she wore a matching hijab too. Oh, and she had the most amazing Gucci bag with her as well- she is very fashionable, one of the most fashionable people I know and she doesn't bare an inch of flesh

I'm Indian and while we can wear whatever we want, I wore a sari just to be unique and got complimented loads
Next year, I'm wearing a dress though- a sari was quite hard to manage and gradually unravelled as the night went on!!!
Haha!

How is going to the Prom 'haraam'? Things like this piss me off when people bring their archaic ideologies into harmless events like one's 'prom night'. It's when you have a little to eat, a little to drink and dance the aye macarina all night :P

I didn't just give the order in for a new tuxedo with cream jacket and black cummerbund for no reason damn it!

Anyway, last I checked, it's not haraam nor have I ever heard (except on TSR) that it is.
lol i can easily see why certain muslims would write a prom off, it being mnixed sex and all. . . but then so is school, work etc etc. thats life whether you like it or not!
I'm a muslim and I've been to all my proms/ balls.

Anyway back to the fun part- CLOTHES!!!!

Year 11 Prom- Wore a pink full length gown with short sleeves.
Year 13 Leavers Ball- Black top, black skirt, and a black cardi- pretty dark and gothic for July but it was done on the quick! lol
Ist Year Pharmacy Ball- purple cocktail dress with tights and cardi
2nd Year Pharmacy Ball- Floor length Aubergine coloured satin gown with cardi. Fitted in as much as all my friends and looked as good. My mum said I did anyways! lol
my friend wore the most beautiful sari (sp) which was very modest.. goes to show that you can still dress modestly and look amazing
i saw a muslim at the prom last night, she even wore a head scarf

your theories are incorrect.

For goodness' sake.

A prom or ball is not nightclubbing. A ball (I really don't like the word prom, and we didn't have proms at our school lol) is an end-of-year/term celebration where you can have a nice time with all your schoolfriends and your teachers. It's not some hotbed of sin and iniquity.

The clowns who are pretty much saying you're a slag if you go to your ball are probably the same nutcases who say that chess is haram and listening to music is haram and having friends is haram.

You can most definitely be a good Muslim and go to your ball, wearing a ballgown. You don't have to sit at home covered up to within an inch of your life having nothing to do with anybody to be a Muslim.
