Computer Science University

So I got unconditionals from Edinburgh, St Andrews and Glasgow for Computer Science. I'm mainly considering choosing between Edinburgh and St Andrews and although having attended both offer holder days, it has made my choice all the more difficult.

I'm very much so influenced by the rankings of the unis but am finding it difficult to choose as Edinburgh is higher than St Andrews on the global league tables and the other way around is apparent for the local/UK based league tables
I’m the same but between Glasgow and St Andrews (since I’ve not been to Edin lol) I thought I’d have a gut feeling which to go for but I rly can’t decide.. getting worried too now the deadline for accepting is approaching.. have you made a decision yet?

I'm getting really worried too, honestly. I haven't chosen yet. I'd guess Glasgow would be like Edinburgh in terms of city life vs the quiet closely knit community of St Andrews. I thought I was for sure going to go to St Andrews initially but after going to both Edinburgh and St Andrews open days, I can say that Edinburgh's massive buildings (Like it has 13 floors or something crazy like that), AI robot (of which there are like 4 of in the world) and friendly people made the decision so much more difficult for me.

The St Andrews open day was spent inside a small but modern building filled with computers, the people were friendly but it didn't give the same "student" vibe of Edinburgh.

In general, if you want that classic "student life" of socialising, studying and worrying about paying bills and rent, I feel Glasgow/Edinburgh would be better. Obviously I wouldn't know though, I'm just assuming from the open day vibes that were given.

Thing is, I feel I would much rather prefer the student life of going to a lively city university such as Edinburgh or Glasgow for the city student life but I don't know if that could also be a downside to interfere with my studies.

I JUST WANT A DEGREE TO MAKE GAMES WHY IS THAT SO HARD.

What makes me lean towards St Andrews however is the course content. I'd say Edinburgh focuses alot on the maths behind computing and St Andrews, more on the coding itself, which is what I'm interested in
I wish I got s conditional for one that would make the decision so much easier, also didn’t go to my talk at St Andrews lol which rly doesn’t help my case, I’ll be staying at home if I go to Glasgow and that kinda puts me off because I won’t have the independence that I want, I’ll be saving lots of money but idk if it’s worth the regret I’ll probs feel.. I’m honestly the most indecisive person out there it’s actually kiing me having to make an actual decision lol
