I thought it was 9 because the actual answer was 8.etc therefore 9 cups would be needed to use all the water.

8.2 cups were needed meaning 8 cups were full and the 9th cup was only 1/5 full
It’s said to completely fill the cups

My friend made the same mistake, it asked how many cups can you fully fill

I flopped on the perpendicular line question BIG TIME. I forgot to divide the gradient by 3. Do you think I’ll still get marks for my working

If you got that cup question wrong, then your actually dumb

*you're
If you write the wrong 'you're' then you're actually dumb
And plus-
Theres no need to be rude, there's something called a mistake- you should be an expert on that

don't get rude to me - you deserved that
(edited 4 years ago)
you'd lose 1 mark

thank youuuu
Unofficial markscheme anyone
you were supposed to do the negative reciprocal of the line L which would have given you -1/4, then you substitute (3,-5) to get you y-intercept
so y= mx+c would become -5=-1/4(3)+c and c was -5.75 so it was y=-1/4x - 5.75 but I multiplied it by 4 so I wouldn't have any decimals or fractions and I got 4y =-x - 23
