To all those who have applied to Cambridge Sutton Trust Summer School or UNIQ...

I was rejected from both C: It sucked at the time. I'd had my heart set on going to those summer schools and I took the rejection very personally.

But in spite of those rejections I have a Cambridge offer (lol whether I'll meet the grades is a whole other discussion). I wanted to say, please don't let yourself get down if you aren't accepted to those schemes because they aren't indicative of whether you will receive an offer.

I know someone who went on the Sutton Trust programme who has a Cambridge offer but, equally, I know someone who was accepted onto UNIQ but did not receive the offer.

Don't let any rejection become a self-fulfilled predictor of your future success

If it helps I didn’t go on UNIQ but I still hold an offer currently.

Did you do anything differently after the rejection to get the offer?

Thanks that makes me feel better. Could I ask what subject your offer is for?
