I have been considering Data Analysis recently as I have realized that healthcare isn't for me. As well as my psychology degree (2:1), I have completed an HND in occupational therapy. My best modules in both were Statistics and Research Methods. My main concern is how to go about the switch. My plan so far :
Find random job & save money.
Learn basics of data analysis online via Udacity/ Coursea. Learn about R, Python, and SQL online
When I'm familiar with basics, join a meetup group for data analysts
Find data analysis work experience via - volunteering/shadowing /internships/ graduate schemes. Also apply for jobs.
Do MSc in Data Analysis with a postgraduate loan if no luck with jobs
Am I missing anything? Also any recommendations for what jobs to look for now that might be better than just some random job?
