im guessing ur a year 12?

its just not what you think itll be

no chemistry, which i already knew, but the chem that you do end up doing is like super theoretical which is pointless.

plus nobody, including us, know wtf a chem eng even does

peeps think we are mechanics and plumbers

Your guess is good.
Theoretical...in what respects? :hmmmm:
Does that mean there's varied layers within the field?
But I thought we were dealing with chemicals too...Atleast a bit?
They are tough..but why stupidly tho? Thought each job had some good perks...

Ah you’re mistaken. I’m pretty sure the engineering community knows what a chem eng does. I think it’s just who you talk to that makes you form these opinions. Bc my mate is going into chem eng, bc the money is good and she likes the sound of what it’s got to offer. I’m about to be a mechanical engineer. Also from what I’ve heard everyone seems to sh!t on civil, Idky tho coz they’re just as good as any other department in engineering. But nah chem eng is respected I feel.
That's civil engineering
Lol if you measure yourself against the degree you have done you will never earn the respect of others
