Student load repayment

I'm thinking about withdrawing from my studies after i have completed the first year of the course.
Would i have to pay back all maintenance loan / tuition fees there and then, or will i begin to pay back after im earning 21,000?
Thankyou very much

If its SFE then repayments only kick in at above £25k and then its 9% of the excess.
If you drop out earlier than the end of term then you may be asked to repay anuthing they view as an overpayment i.e money you were paid in advance on condition you were a student. You make a repayment plan for that money you took covering when you ceased to be a student.
i.e they give you ten weeks money and you cease to be a student half way through. they then want half/ 5 weeks back. If you are staying till the en it wont affect you.

If this is the first time you have used sfe higher education funding then you cna use this as your gift year and will still have funding for a full degree left if you change your min later. Dont make a mistake though and be sure if there is a next degree its 100% for you. You wont have any more gift years, so a change of mind again is much harder to rectify.

thankyou for taking your time to reply, unfortunately i dont think that university is for me, therefore im going onto further education ie: Apprenticeship.
Im going to wait until the end of the academic year (Level 4) Then leave, meaning i only pay back when i earn 25k a year to be sure?
Thankyou again.

Yes. be a long time before you pay anything.

You may change your mind in future (10+ years), but fine if an apprenticeship is for you. GL
