Queen Mary, City, Westminster, (or ??) as a backup?

I’ve applied to study abroad at UCL for the fall semester and I’m still awaiting their response, but I am weighing my options for a backup if UCL doesn’t work out. My UCL application was generated in their system on March 29th, but the next round of ‘deadlines’ are April 15th and May 1st, so I’m trying to be proactive to ensure my chances.

*I’m a Philosophy/Psychology double major, 3.98 GPA and 4.0 in major courses.. Open to other university suggestions as well, these are just the ones I know to still be accepting applications.

If you want to go into research, pick Queen Mary.
If you want to go work as a psychologist, pick City.

I find that City develops you more for your field of work and is well known with employers (and also has good researchers).

Queen Mary is a Russell group uni (though it's on the lower end) so it's research heavy, if you want to go into research then that's your pick.

Also take into consideration the location you want to be in. Queen Mary is in East London mile end and City University is in East City, Angel. Since your first pick is UCL, City has similar surroundings as its quite close to UCL compared to Queen Mary.

If you haven't already, I suggest vising both universities for a campus tour or open day / applicant day.
