explain one difference between the sub-cellular structures in a cell in the potato and those in a cell in the leaf of the potato plant .

It's not going to have chloroplasts, I think, because there's no point having chloroplasts if you're underground, where there's no light. That's why root hair cells don't have chloroplasts.
