Can you write 3 in terms of log base 2?
Then combine using normal log files with the other term on the right hand side
Finally remove the log?

First part is to write 3 as s log base 2 ,so
log(z) = 3
So
z = 2^3 = ...

Then you have the difference of two logs. Combine using the standard rule and write as a single log term.

practice. lots of log questions.
Make sure you know your log laws.
Make sure that you can NOT 'open up' something like log(5x+4), but that log(5x)+log(4) = log(20x)
