A book called Ishmael, about a psychic gorilla and the future of the human race. It's much more thoughtful than it sounds and I highly recommend it. It's by Daniel Quinn.

The Continuum Concept - so much of what we grow up believing, not questioning, is actually a societal construct and there are so many other ways of being/thinking/feeling. I believe the world would be a much better place if everyone read it....
