I wonder if this is true and to what extent is it true?

Germany has had a much relaxed approach towards the UK in Brexit negotiations; the media has called this relaxed approach towards the UK a new relationship between Germany and the UK forming. However I think that there is a much deeper meaning as to why Germany is taking a relaxed approach towards Brexit, I think that the reason Germany is taking such a relaxed approach towards Brexit is because Germany exports billions of cargo to the UK every year and the UK barely exports anything to Germany in comparison to what Germany export to the UK. The German Chancellor must have taken this into account when deciding on what approach Germany should take towards the UK in Brexit.
