Buisness Studies

Hi.
Any current Business Studies students ot BU that might be able to help a fretting parent of prospective Sept 2019 Business Studies student? ;-)
I'd like to know how the exam elements of the buisness studies degree are exmained. Is it formal written essay style exams at end of year or something else more spread out during the year with different exam styles (multi choice, short form questions).
I'd also like to know the level of content/degree of difficulty on the economics, accounting and law core modules in the first year. Is it more or less in depth than A level and are there recommended text books used for the core modules that I can refer to to understand the specification for those core modules.
