I have a conditional offer for Adult Nursing in September. I have to take the MSAP test as I only got a grade D in GCSE Maths. Im getting really anxious and stressed over these test. What do people think about them that have taken them? It also says I have to do a English Written test even though I have a grade B in GCSE. Is this right? Can anyone give me help and advice, thanks!

Hi, I also have to do the MSAP as I don’t have any a level only my GCSE’s. I’ve looked at the practice papers online and it looks pretty tricky? I’m feeling really anxious myself. Other than practicing what’s online I don’t think there is any other way to prepare, you either know it or you don’t.. which isn’t really very reassuring. Also, I ready that the practice papers you can purchase aren’t that great, so I think it’s personal preference as to whether you look into that or not. Sorry I can’t be any more help.. I think we need to just keep our fingers crossed..Hopefully more people will join this thread and we can support each other through.

Thanks for replying!
I also read that the actual exam is a lot more difficult than the practise test you can purchase online (which I did and that is difficult)
So i suppose your right we can only hope for the best.. Good luck! X

How did you find the exam? I thought module 3 was pretty impossible and I don't think I'll have passed

Staying optimistic too! The 'maths' really was awful but I live in hope after reading previous threads about people the same as us who were sure they had failed but didn't. I may be wrong but that's the way I'm thinking

Yes, it was like nothing I had ever come across before! Horrendous.. I’m hoping we don’t have to wait until mid July for the results it seems like a life time away.. maybe this thread can get us all through the wait!

From my experience, I don't think you can really prepare for the 'maths' module. I prepared for the written elements by practicing timed essays. Good luck!
