Well you're a ****ing idiot. Coming from someone who is against Brexit, it's incredibly naive and stupid for you to say something like that. It's about control of our country and our laws, not everyone you disagree with is a racist, prick...

51% of voters wanted Brexit. So you're saying 51% of the UK are racist?

Easy mate, that's what he wants you too do, so he can claim some superior intellect that he either a - does not possess or b - is not using

I'm waiting for his reply to quantify his claims

Yes, he is. It's like D. Quixote and them windmills, same state of mental distortion, but in this case induced by shameless political quacks earning out of fanning the racial flames at every instance that suits them. It's a nice and warm fire they light up, keeps them snug and warm like nothing else would. Behind that caring and humanitarian front, they're not very nice people.

What I am saying is that there is an unspoken racial aspect to Brexit.

For a small minority, yes. But you're saying that for 51% of the country, it was racially based? Lmao how smug and ignorant.

Brexit is largely about control of immigration laws in this country. Some people are motivated by racism in this desire, others not.

Some older folk just hate the EU. Most governments used to very publicly use EU laws as a scapegoat for their own failings. Similarly, media outlets would often highlight ridiculous "EU regulation". I know a collection of lawyers that blame the restructuring of the House of Lords to the Supreme Court on the EU, but can't say how the EU influenced thus change or why it's a bad thing!

How does that work, EU immigrants are almost entirely of the same race as white Brexiteers. Were anyone calling for a crackdown on non-white immigration and there might be a case but that's not what we have here. So how does that suggestion of racism apply?

Lazy use of language on my part. I meant xenophobia.

But, tbh, my (admittedly anecdotal) experience has shown me that "non-white" immigration desires have been conflated with brexit, so I'm not sure what I said was wholly wrong, despite being unintentional.

Even if there was - which is tenuous at best as the migration proposed to be controlled is in vast majority white....

So what?

People are allowed to hold their own views even if you think they are abhorrent
