Anyone know what happens when NaClO and KI react? I’d really appreciate an answer and explanation because I’m very confused

Ionic equation is: ClO- + 2I- + 2H+ -> I2 + H2O + Cl-.
It's a redox equation with the chlorine going from +1 to -1, so its getting reduced, gaining electrons from the iodine which is getting oxidized from -1 to 0.
