Hi Everybody, I am a international student(Indian) looking to study mathematics(masters degree) in the UK with an Undergraduate degree in Physics. I applied to
Oxford-MSc Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing
-had my interview didnt go really well, they went to extreme depths did not go well towards the end. Answered all physics related questions well though.
Will wait for result.
Durham- Msc Mathematical Sciences
Accepted
Bristol- Msc Engineering Mathematics
Accepted, may receive a scholarship. Really Liked the course structure and met a professor, sold me on the city.
Edinburgh-Msc Computational Applied Mathematics
Waiting for reply can get in (hopefully).
Edinburgh- Msc Financial Mathematics
Got in.
St Andrews-Msc Mathematics
waiting for decision.
Did not apply to imperial spoke to a professor there he said my academic background is not well suited to the course at Imperial.
Fingers crossed for Oxford
but what are the good options among the 3 mentioned. Looking to get into a good PhD programme after this.
Bristol has a good faculty.
Also spoke to an MD at Barclays UK he said all are good schools to go it.

Not that we are biased or anything, but we would totally suggest Edinburgh as an awesome place to live. We can't speak about the courses, and what your personal preference would be, but we can totally vouch that Edinburgh is a cool place to live.
