If you integrate 3/(1+4x)^1/2 using the quotient rule
i get a value of -6/(1+4x)^3/2 and using a dervative calculator online i get a value which is the same but the integral is apparently 3/2 * (1+4x)^1/2
i don't get what im doing wrong the method in the mark scheme used a different approach to integrate but i should get the same answer regardless right ??

I've just tried integrating this using the typical reverse chain rule method and I seem to get the same answer as the mark scheme. Do you mind posting your working out here?

Hey!
I reckon it'd be easier to help if you showed us your working so we could see where you went wrong.

sure i'll try to but can you try to integrate using the quotient rule please?

I think I see the problem. The quotient rule is used for differentiating quotients, but here, you should be integrating. I just differentiated the question and got the answer that you put in the original post.
