BA Vs BS

Hello, so I'm thinking about studying CS the USA rather thank the UK, and I noticed that most undergraduate courses for computer science in the UK are bachelors of science and in the US they're mostly bachelors of arts. I was just wondering why this might be (ie their liberal arts style of degrees) and what affects it would have in my opportunities because generally speaking (from what I've heard in school) in the UK, BS degrees are more valued than BA degrees.
It makes no difference (at least in terms of perceived "value"): https://www.bachelorsportal.com/articles/1950/bachelor-of-arts-vs-bachelor-of-science-which-type-of-degree-to-choose.html

However, the 'value' of a degree is really all about the skills you learn - it'll be those skills which eventually lead you to being hired after you graduate, and not your certificate/qualification.

The content of the degree matters the most. I think the difference was that a BSc was generally more numerate but this isn't always true nowadays.
