yes, you will. But I don't understand how you've 'left' school?
I’m joining Harrogate in September. I’ve completed my interview and just have the assessment left I have all my GCSE’s apart from English. I’m currently doing a retake in collage as well as engineering. Is joining Harrogate a good option for me now?

Hiya, my friend recommended this college to me as a college that will lead any young person to whichever section of the military they want to go into. For example, I want to get into the RAF and i can't seem to find a decent college for me to get into. So, is this college also for people who want to get into the RAF??Thanks

Clue is in the title - Army Foundation College.

Seriously, what are you wanting to do in the RAF? There's people on here that could possibly give you pointers on a route to qualifications and joining up.
this is super late but do u have to join the army straight away after the 42 week course or can u wait a while and then join

I suggest you read the sticky about AFC Harrogate at the top of this forum. It isn't like a Uniformed Public Service course, it is basic (Phase 1) training and when you complete it you are in the Army. There may be a break between you finishing Harrogate and starting your Phase 2 (specialist) training, but if you have any time off you are subject to the Army's rules.

If you look at the top of this Forum there is a pinned post with a link to the AFC Harrogate website. Have a good read.
I’m in year 11, I don’t know what GCSEs I will get but I’m hoping to get at least a pass I don’t think I’m gonna do so great on my GCSE’s, do u need a certain score for English maths and science to Be able to go to Harrogate

Grades depend on the role you are applying for. Read the pinned post on AFC Harrogate at the top of this Forum, and the Army Recruitment website.

Just thought I'd introduce everyone to the Army Foundation College, it's in Harrogate near Leeds. It is a great route into the Army and I have my interview on the 17th June and further I will have fitness tests.

You have to be between 16 & 17 to join and it is a 42 week course which you are taught at alot slower and gradual pace than the other training areas.

If anyone has any questions, lemme know - I'll keep you posted on my progress.

What gcse grades do you need to be enlisted into Harrogate
