30 marks gcse
For gcse then I’d say around 6 maybe 8, intro 4- 6 main points and a conclusion, also depends how big ur paragraphs are tho. Make a plan with all your relevant points and see how many paragraphs would make sense avoiding waffle.

This all depends on what type of essay you were assigned to write. There are two different types of essays, particularly used in the IGCSE syllabus, and these include the "Critical Essay" and "Empathic Response." These two are the essays you're supposed to choose as your IGCSE portfolios towards the end of the year, or at least, that's what I was told in my school.

Critical Essay - 800-1200 words [Font Size 11 / 12 recommended, double spacing and Times New Roman FONT].
Empathic Response - 600-1000 words [Font Size 11 / 12 recommended, double spacing and Times New Roman FONT].

i'm in year 10 and getting 5/6's with doing around 6 paragraphs but those are around 30 marks, I would recommend 4-8 paragraphs depending what grades you want to achieve. This may be of help to you but i am on AQA not Edexcel

Between three and four. Nothing more, nothing less.

I did Edexcel, and this is all that is required.

At least 10 or between 8 and 12 I would say depending on what grade you want to achieve.

NOP=NOM/3 plus or take away 2.

NOP=number of paragraphs
NOM=number of marks

Yes, unless you get extra time. Do you have trouble writing that fast?

I would at least 5 or between 5 and 9 paragraphs depending on what grade you want to achieve.

NOP=NOM/3 plus or take away 2

NOP=number of paragraphs
NOM=number of marks.

I can only manage about 3 main paragraphs and a conclusion in that time... I get rest breaks
