Question 4 - part ii :

Mark scheme:

For the 2nd mark, it's says one of the ways the answer can be obtained is by doing : x - f(x). I did f(x) -x , which is incorrect. Why is this the other around?

your method is not incorrect... there is still a change of sign.

But, the answers for f(0.3) and f(0.4) is swapped around?
I think they've got :
f(0.3) = -0.0485
f(0.4) = 0.0595

while i ended up with :
f(0.3) = 0.0595
f(0.4) = -0.0485 ?
