I know A Level Maths has a mechanics component to it. I honestly just want to take Maths for AS (which only has pure maths) but I wanna do PPE at uni so I need the full course.

It probably won't be directly useful as most AS level books don't assume any previous physics knowledge.
But if you have sufficient time, I would still suggest that you do physics.
