I think it went alright. Couldn’t answer a few but I did working out. Got excited when I did the 7marker on integration too.

I got like 14° for the last which I know is incorrect and the proof question I was just messing about, substituting values and God knows what.

Generally I didn’t find the questions super hard, the binomial one was very straightforward for example (in my opinion).

Did anyone prove that x^3+2 was not divisible by 8? I wrote a load of rubbish and hoped for the best

If an unofficial markscheme is being set up, for
2)i) I got 0 and 1/4
for 2)ii) I got + root 2 and - root 2

Didn’t answer the last 3 questions, spent too much time on all of the others, which I think were ok. hope I can make up some difference in the mech and stats.

The second last question caught me out. Last question was a triangle hidden by vectors.

1 find m, m=2
second find x coordinate of intercepts (x=-5/2)

2. two equations to solve First was a=1/4? second was definitely +-√2

Question on circles (centre of 2,-4) and radius of √28
the line x=k intersected at a tangent, find exact values of k, k=+-√2

Forgot the order so here are some of my answers:

Queston on factorisation:
Prove (x-4) is a factor
prove the curve has two distinct roots (got x-4 as a repeated root) and -3/2 as the other root
Suggest the number of roots the graph f(x) +2 had, should be one root as graph is translated by vector (0, 2)
Find the value of k when f(x+k) crosses the orgin

Question on quadratics with tin as a model of a quadratic
Find the value when n=1 for part a and n=4 for part c
State the max amount of tin they could mine,


Question on exponentials, initial value was like 5700+2300 = 8000
part b differential the exponent to get what they asked
part c, find the time when it is valued at £500, got 8 years 3 months

Last question on vectors I got 15 degrees using the sin rule, however some people an angle of 135, which is 180-(15+30)

For the tin question part C(maybe) I think they asked you to find the amount of tin mined in 2023, as opposed to the part A which was up to 2020 or whatever. So you had to do the equation for n+1 and subtract n. At least this is what I did? Saw it was a 2 mark and re read the question and spotted it was differently worded

well done for getting the last question 😂 only a handful of people in my year understood it
