which accommodation would you recommend at the University of Bath and why?
Hi there,
You might find this thread helpful - I gave a very detailed answer there, walking through the pros and cons of each accommodation and there's some helpful links. If there is anything else you still want to know after reading that, please do let me know

Is outside city good in first year? is it good to be around students of your own course? TA
Hi there,
From what I've heard from friends, everyone who lives in city accommodation in first year loves it. You're right in the centre of town, so you don't have to get the bus if you want to go to the shops, cinema, clubs etc, but you still have the perks of a university accommodation building (i.e. shared flats so you can easily socialise with other students). The only downside of living in city accommodation in first year is that you will have to get a bus pass and get the bus to lectures every day, so you don't have the convenience of being able to wake up 5 minutes before your lecture like people on campus do. However, you'll have to do this after first year anyways so it's good practice, in a way.

Overall, city accommodation is jsut as good as campus accommodation, and a lot of people actually prefer it. The only downside is the fact that you have to spend more time getting to lectures.
I hope this has helped,
