Hi Everyone. I'm so scared and nervous that I haven't done any preparation/revision for my Spanish speaking GCSE exam.

what can I do to get a good grade in the Spanish speaking exam in just a matter of 2 days? and I'm doing Foundation by the way.

Thanks for your help!

Just practice the questions ... and speak to others in Spanish... like in an actual conversation... maybe other class mates ... I think you were the girl that accidentally posted on the maths site but...
I'm still happy to help you out if you want to speak in Spanish... as I said before... I do a level Spanish now and I got a 8 in GCSE... ring foundation isnt a problem.. it still helps to literally just PRACTICE. . with someone more familiar with the language 😊

Prepare some good answers about all topics and learn them just so you have a something to say about everything. Maybe prepare like 2 answers for each topic at first and use ‘good’ phrases in them (I do german so I don’t really know what those would be haha)
Then learn some general vocab which is more specific to the topics like for leisure and free time learn some words for unique sports or like ‘treadmill’ stuff that other people wouldn’t know.
And also I guess revise basic grammar and how to make sentences up in all tenses because you’ll probably have to do that if you havnt prepared anything. They don’t have to be amazing sentences just make sure you know how to do basic present, future and past tense

The last three pics are the speaking questions I prepared.. now I went full out so you dont have to do as many as me... but the highlighted ones of them are for the higher paper so ignore them... and the rest of the pics are just expresiones claves and stuff and tips for speaking... hope this helps x

Oh lol.. well what I said to the girl was that I would be happy to message her on here with my number if she was interested in having a Spanish conversation on the phone or something to help... the more you practice with someone who speaks the language more fluently the better... I'm not perfect but I also wouldn't charge lmao... If you are interested just reply to this and then I'll message you my number 😊... if not dont worry

Basically... you.need to KNOW your answers for theme one... but for themes 2 and 3.. (and trust me i know this reallyyyy helped) if you know answers to those questions too... it's more than likely you can just slightly edit them when you are asked about those themes... because obviously you dont know which one you will get as your second conversation... by having a wide range of an "answer bank" as we used to call it... you wont be so flustered for example... I didnt choose theme one for my conversation topic.. however, I was asked

"Qué haces en tu tempo libre?... which is very similar to... "Qué actividades te gusta en tu tiempo libre"... and so I used the answer I had learnt for that topic

"En mi tiempo libre, a menudo escucho música. Me encanta la música antigua por ejemplo Elvis. Sin embargo, es una lastima que no toquen estos canciones en la radio más. Me pone triste."

This is also a good example for a decent answer... three things to ALWAYS try to do...
1)Answer the question that is actually asked
2)develop this answer with an opinion on this topic
3) try to add either a different tense or a different person in

If I were to change my answer to have a person rather than a tense (or both) I could easily change it very slightly... so ...

En mi tiempo libre, a menudo escucho música CON MIS AMIGOS. Me encanta la música antigua por ejemplo Elvis. Sin embargo, MIS AMIGOS NO PIENSAN QUE es una lastima que no toquen estos canciones en la radio más PERO me pone triste.

And the same thing with if it is actually asked in another tense so....

"Que HICISTE en la semana pasada " (note~ this is actually a very similar question even though it appears not to be...)

LA SEMANA PASADA, escuchÉ música. Me encanta la música antigua por ejemplo Elvis. Sin embargo, es una lastima que no toquen estos canciones en la radio más. Me pone triste.

Do you see how you can change it very slightly and yet still be using the same "answer bank" ?? Because even if you cant remember on the day how to change a verb into the tense they are asking... you will still get more marks for simply speaking in the present so....

"Qué hiciste en la semana pasada"

En mi tiempo libre, a menudo escucho música. ES PORQUE ESCUCHO MÚSICA LA SEMANA PASADA. Me encanta la música antigua por ejemplo Elvis. Sin embargo, es una lastima que no toquen estos canciones en la radio más. Me pone triste.

Even though ESCUCHO was in the wrong tense .. look at what else you have said... you might not get a mark for the tense but you will certainly get Mark's for everything else...

Hope this helps
