Colleges for medicine

Hey, I wanted to ask which colleges are best(in England) to study medicine. I am wanting to become a neurosurgeon and I needed some opinions on what colleges are good to study at?
Also to become a neurosurgeon what should I study in that college?
I know I know nothing but I tried finding out stuff on what and where to study to become a neurosurgeon but there was not much info. Google is not always correct to. And student room has actually got answers for some of the questions I have.
Thanks
Any university that offers a medicine programme would meet your needs. Wherever you go, the qualification is the same so it's down to your personal preference on things like places to live and teaching/learning styles, as well as considering which university would be the best chance of interview for your academic and personal profile.

You don’t choose your specialty until s looong way down the line, you do a medicine programme first and specialise later, although you could choose your intercalation option to be most applicable to neurosurgery to start down that road
Thankyou.AlthoughI A levels, do I just do bio and chem as my main subjects and on there things such as math . Will that be enough to get onto a medical degree

you need 3 a levels incl bio and chem
you'll also need to sit the BMAT and/or UCAT entrance exams and go to an interview at your chosen universities (if they offer you an interview). you apply through UCAS and you can select four medicine courses and can choose one additional course that isnt medicine. every medicine degree is regarded the same so whichever medical school you choose you can become a neurosurgeon. you should check out themedicportal website for a lot of great information about applying to med school in the uk
Thankyou
