Hey guys, I recently passed my driving test first time, I was learning in an automatic car which had an electronic handbrake. The car i'll most likely be getting doesn't have an electronic handbrake. In the car i was learning in when i put the handbrake on i could then lift my foot off the brake pedal and get it positioned over the gas ready to move off quickly. My question is with a normal handbrake when i activate it can i then lift my foot off the brake like i would in the other car?

Yeah the two handbrakes works the same, one you have to press a button, one you have a lever! Some electric handbrakes have hill start assist so just remember you don’t have that with a normal handbrake!
