Muslims are perpetuated in such a negative way in the media as a Muslim myself it's very frustrating to see. I wanted to know everyone's opinion on Muslims. Feel free to say whatever comes to mind.

I know right. People think just cuz some Muslims can't behave properly all Muslims are the same. I'm tired of hearing this over and over again plus it hurts to see everyone get blamed and also get labelled as criminals just cuz they are Muslims. I know that some haters will probably comment on my post cuz they just wanna make us feel bad and wanna hurt and want us to pay for something that we are also against.

It’s easy to blame the haters but when you see how every major terror attack is either linked to Islamic terrorism or said to be linked with ISIS, it becomes apparent something is wrong. It’s called stereotyping. Every race or culture has some kind of stereotype. Black people associated with being gang members, goths or loners being associated with school shootings, White conservatives being associated with the Alt Right. This stereotyping is prevalent everywhere.

I know, but it's something that gets to me. The negative thoughts/views of this world i mean it's the reason why this world is bad.
I understand where your coming from but when people stick to that stereotype and apply that to Muslim people they see everyday on the street it gets very annoying and this is a problem which has been instigated through the media. I don't disagree at the fact that the stereotype of Muslims being "terrorists" is something that has magically come into thin air, it has come because of the Muslims that have been terrorists and the fact that it hasn't been once but in fact multiple times. At the end of the day it is whether people themselves want to believe the stereotype.

There isn't really an argument this thread is for you to say what you think of Muslims, because there have been many negative stories in the media about Muslims I want to know whether the negative view on Muslims that is portrayed is actually what people genuinely believe.

It makes me think that you don't agree that there is a negative portrayal of Muslims in the media is that true? But don't worry I'll get you your sources.
If you have only read certain parts of the Quran and have not read the whole book then you can't really say the teachings are immoral because if you have read the whole Quran from a to z you would see how the teachings are moral instead of immoral. But that is of course your opinion and interpretation and I can't change that. But I do agree with what you said about the reliable news sources, there are some which are biased and some which have no bias.
A lot of bias website articles tend to express how 'dangerous' Islamic people are but these websites are often driven by the article's author. However, reliable news sources (as few as there are) do not have such bias from what I have seen, perhaps due to potential backlash from the general public. Although, I may be wrong because I, of course, have not read every news article out there
I personally do not agree with the teachings in the Qur'an as I believe some of the ideologies in the Qur'an to be quite immoral due to quite, in my opinion, violent teachings. This is purely my interpretation from what I have read from the Qur'an.
