What a stupid question, look around!
Why are so many people so shallow, you obviously have no idea what love is.

Perhaps I have no idea what love is, but is one shallow if one asks questions?

I'm not making any judgments, just asking for observations about real life, real world and majority population.

And in real life, as far as I have seen at least (and trust me I have traveled around the world quite a lot), I have seen really very very very few couples who had different body proportions.

I'm not even asking whether it's right or wrong; just observing: descriptive statistics.

A large girl I could go out with. You know, girls who genuinely have larger frames, broad shoulders, that kinda thing. But fat? Nononono. I think very fat girls are very fat most of the time because of a lazy, gluttonous lifestyle, which may or may not be their fault (sometimes the parents are to blame, sometimes friends), and that wouldn't sit with me, as I'm fairly active.

But different body proportions can work, and have done often.

My ex-bf was short n quite "stocky" (to put it nicely). I'm tall and medium build/slim, and we were together for 4 months

I hope for your sake that you are incredulously hot.

Otherwise you're going to end up veeery lonely.

I see thinner guys with larger girls ALL the time - the opposite is much rarer though.

My boyfriend is athletic and really thin, I'm a slightly chubby size 10. It's depressing.

Actually a lot of couples dressed in the goth style seem to be opposites. You often get like a fat bearded guy with a skinny girl or a skinny lanky guy with a fat girl.

My boyfriend is 6"4' and large, I'm 5"6' and slim lol. we've been together two years...

I have a mate who's dead thin, and only goes for thin girls - he once had a bad experience with a 'larger lady' and I think it scarred him for life. Now all his girlfriends and flings have to be a certain circumference.

As for me, if the laws of physics applied to my body I'd be dead. Thankfully, they don't, and I manage to get by as a 'nearly underweight' person. Looking at my 'girl history', I tend to go for the average/above average weight girl. BUT, almost all the ones who show a sycophantic interest in me are the mega-plump ones which I find nothing attractive in.

I hate the really lanky look on a guy. Not keen on overly large but you need a bit of meat on there! My last bf was tall and slightly "stocky" but I found that incredibley attractive!

I'm a girl and im 6ft and curvy.
I could never go out with someone who is shorter than me, because im very self concious about my height. It makes finding suitable romantic interests very difficult. because a lot of guys do like th 6ft blonde but I just can't do shorter than me.

sometimes you see fatties with slim people but i doubt many slim people would date fatties.

How does that work at all then? Surely the slim person with the 'fattie' would have to consent to be with them, so it's equal to see a 'fattie' with a slim person, then a slim person with a 'fattie'.

Personally, appearance matters very little to me. A guy could be slim and the most gorgeous male in the town, yet he could have the personality of a lump of soil. Fat or thin, ugly or good looking, personality trumps all.

What's with all the shallow threads on here lately?

I think people of similar attractiveness often go well together, but I don't think weight is the only thing determining attractiveness, so yes. And personality, intellect, sense of humour, etc count as part of attractiveness too imo.

So, have you seen many couples with different weights (according to their height)?
