Here’s the question:
A student prepares a solution of sodium sulphate by adding 6.25x10-2moldm-3 sulfuric acid from a burette to 25cm3 of 0.124moldm-3 sodium hydroxide and in a conical Flask.
Calculate the minimum volume of Sulfuric acid that the student would need to completely react with the sodium hydroxide present in cm3.

I got to 1.55x10-3 moles of sulfuric acid but then I got confused as it says you times this by (1000/6.25x10-2) in the marks scheme. I thought to calculate volume you’d do moles/conc. and then times by 1000 to get answer in cm3.

No it isn’t. The answer is 24.8cm3 yet they way I thought you’d calculate it you get 2.48x10-3

(1.55 x 10^-3 / 6.25 x 10^-2) x 1000 = 1.55 x 10^-3 x (1000 / 6.25 x 10^-2)
