Do these free courses on open university actually count towards anything? Can I put them on my CV and will employers look at these? I have a lot of free time at the moment and would love to learn more but would it be worth it?

You could mention it if it is useful or related to the role you are applying for.

They don't count towards any recognised qualification ie, like a diploma or HE cert, but they are not totally useless. Putting them on your CV if your CV is currently quite empty would be good, it will show extra skills and dedication to learn, and so on.
