I am thinking of doing an Open Degree at the Open University. However I want to teach abroad, where I know I just need a degree... Any idea if this would be acceptable, in for example China? I mean would a BA Open be recognised?

I don't see why not. The Open Studies degree is a legitimate undergraduate degree. Many universities like Lancaster, Oxford, Edinburgh etc offer distance learning postgraduate degrees. The Open Uni offers distance learning undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. You'll be 100% fine. :fluffy:
