For writing make sure you use the conditional tense, past, present and future tense. Try to use at least 1 or 2 idioms (my favourite being 'Das ist Banane' - That is terrible.) I can PM you some idioms if you want.

Use varied sentence structure so start one sentence with a time phrase first:
->Gestern hatte ich Federball gespielt.
Yesterday I had played badminton.
Or use a conjunctive that sends the verb to the end of the sentence:
->Ich will Pilotin sein, weil ich fliegen mag.
I want to be a pilot because I love flying.

Definitely use some model verbs like, mögen, sollen, wollen etc.

I wish you luck! If you want any more advice let me know (^_^ ) This week I have my speaking.

Thank u very much and good luck on your speaking test. By the way I did my speaking test 2 weeks ago and I think that if your vocabulary is good then the speaking will be easy for you.

Hey man I need help likkekeee crazy.
Can u send me some idioms (that are simple and easy to remember) and a basic checklist that I should include into my German writing. This would help sooooo much.
Thanks because I have my GCSE’s soon and right now I am getting a solid 6 but I want to push it to a 7 maybe even 8. I would consider myself to be fairly good at German but it’s just vocab that holds me back. That’s why I am annoyed at my current grade so it would be highly appreciated if you could help.
Thanks

Sure (^_^ ) I'm at a friend's house rn but I'll definitely send a list of idioms here.

Also for writing here's some advice from @AdamCee that really helped me and that I use:
Spoiler:
Show
Use about 7 tenses - present, future, perfect, imperfect, conditional perfect, conditional future etc
Use intensifiers but NOT sehr of ziemlich - try unglaublich (incredibly)
Use subordinating conjunctions - weil, obwohl but vary with da, damit, etc
Use adverts of time - in der zunkuft, nachste Woche,
Use opinions and vary - nach mir, ich denke
Use modal verbs - sollen etc
Say how often - eg manchmal
Describe what you're talking about

To help remember you've got everything use RAINCOAT
Reasons, adjectives, intensifiers, nouns, connectives, opinions, adverbs of time, tenses

Every time you do one of these do a little tally. Aim for as many as possible.

Also the pluperfect tense which is really good for writing, again more awesome advice from @AdamCee:

Basically, it's another form of past tense. Just instead of saying 'I played tennis' (Ich habe Tennis gespielt) for example, it would be 'I HAD played tennis' (Ich hatte Tennis gespielt) so yeah it varies it a little more.

The sein version is 'I had been' etc, which is similar

Like all forms of haben and sein, it is irregular
Ich hatte
Du hattest
Er/sie/es hatte
Wir hatten
Ihr hattet
sie/Sie hatten

And for sein it is
Ich war
Du warst
er/sie/es war
Wir waren
Ihr wart
sie/Sie waren

If you can do all this, you'll be well on the way to a 9! I hadn't a clue about the conditional or things like the imperfect tense back then and I managed an 8 so you should be all good. For the writing you can usually use stuff from your oral that you've already memorised. In the listening: don't panic! Do as many practices as you can and read the question before you hear it!
