Girls, advice needed

This is a bit unorthodox but,
Dating is something I’ve not done for a while, in fact the last time I was “meeting girls” I was early days of Uni..
A few years on(and older 🙄) and I find myself back on the rungs of the “dating ladder” I find myself at an age where I don’t seem to be able to meet anyone now.
How does one meet girls these days.. I’ve tried internet dating tinder and the like to no avail.. on the bar front I’m concerned girls would be put off by my age (I’m not bad looking though if I say so myself) and no longer have the confidence to approach directly despite being confident and funny in conversation.. it’s those approaching ice breakers that I’m just out of touch with..
