Edinburgh
If you have not already done so, please ensure you send us copies of certificates of all your earlier qualifications, as listed in your application, for verification, as requested in your offer pack. Please note that we cannot accept provisional statements of results instead of final certificates or qualifications. It is only when we’ve checked these earlier qualifications and any other outstanding clearance checks or offer conditions that we can give you access to vital joining information.

So, GCSE certificates. AS level certificates, if you have them - don't send provisional statements of results.
Will I lose my offer if I don't do it soon? I only have my GCSE ones. And can I photocopy them, or do I get them back? I don't understand this, I don't know any other unis doing this!

If you do decide to accept our offer either as firm or insurance, it is essential that
you send copies of your educational certificates to the College Undergraduate
Admissions Office.
• The certificates we need to see are GCSE/AS and/or SQA Standard Grade
and Intermediate certificates or any other certificates relating to educational
qualifications already achieved (as entered in section 5A on the UCAS
application). International students should also send certificates such as
College Board notifications or High School diplomas. You must provide
authorised translations of all non-English certificates.
• We accept photocopied certificates by fax or by post. These should be sent to
the College Undergraduate Admissions Office. We do not need to see original
copies and will contact you if we have any questions.
• Unless you are applying for a Music degree it is not necessary for you to send
us copies of ABRSM, or equivalent, certificates nor is it necessary for
applicants to send copies of LAMDA or other related certificates.

They don't say what will happen if you don't do it, or when you need to do it by.

That's fine, I didn't get certificates for my AS Levels either. You photocopy or fax them, and send them to the address stated on the cover sheet.
Oh lord i think i sent provisional statements as i had no certificates for AS

i did this absolutely MONTHS ago and they havnt contacted at all - im guessing there isnt a problem ...

oh why dont they sort out the contacting people things - its really not excellent, and im always the first to stand up for edinburgh on ANYthing.
I don't think it'll be a problem, Charlie. They don't accept them but they might just assume you didn't get certificated for AS.
I have absolutely no idea where they are! i must have them as i seem to remember them beinggiven to me and me signing for them --hmmm

ill have to have another look.
You sure you certificated your AS levels at all? I didn't so I didn't send them certificates.

The reason they ask for copies is to verify that you actually have the qualifications you claim to have. Not unreasonable (if you applied for a job they'd ask the same...).
So all I need is my gcse certificates if my as's haven't been certificated? Sorry about this and thanks so much for all your help!

Can anyone tell me how and when to send them your TOEFL results? I don't have my own certificate anymore, so should I order just one more at the TOEFL website and select the UoE as addressee?
I haven't received an offer pack and they haven't told me to send my certificates either. Is it okay to send my certificates now, anyway?
Send them as soon as possible, methinks. They don't want original certificates, they want copies - so you can either fax or post them. It's fine to send your certificates now.

so you need to send higher results as well? The cover sheet asks you to put on your "ucas number" in my letter from UCAS they gave me a personal ID number and an application number, not sure which one it is but im guessing its the application number?

I received the same letter, and at first I thought that they want me to send them all my certificates from maths competitions that i have  Because I have some and I mentioned them in my Personal Statement.
Then i realized that it shoud be only Diploma from school and IELTS certificate, but I will receive my Diploma at the end of the month.
Wait I havn't been asked to send certificates yet

eep.
You been on the euclid thing?
When I did this last year I had to ask my school for my AS certificates, as they did exist but we weren't presented with them. Might be worth asking, if you want to send your general statement of results you should get it verified with a signature from your school/college. That's what they told me to do when I first thought I couldn't find my AS certificates anyway.
I only have my AS certificates, I don't have my GCSE's...do you think it would be ok to send it off without my GCSE certificates? I don't think i'd even be able to get them because I moved schools after sixth form!
