-non communicable diseases
-microscopy
-cancer
-fungal and Protist diseases
- use of monoclonal antibodies

These are just all the new topic to the gcse that havnt already been asked about

really feel like microscopy is coming up this year, I mean I hope it doesn't
My schools predictions are:

* Specialised cells, active transport, fish fills & other surface adaptations, cell cycle, cloning in plants, development of microscopy and how it has furthered understanding of cell structures

* Heart, blood, blood vessels, heart valve problems and treatments, digestion, food tests, cancer

* Transport in plants, plant structure, leaf structure, transpiration

* Body’s defence mechanisms, named diseases - HIV, malaria, TMV, gonorrhoea, salmonella etc

* Drug development, antibiotics

* Respiration and exercise, anaerobic respiration, metabolism, limiting factors, manipulation of conditions for growth (advantages and disadvantages)

* Required practicals - enzymes and food tests.
