What's the weirdest pet you've had?

Following on from the 'Ideal Pet' thread, what's the weirdest pet you've had? Are there any stranger ones you've heard of others owning?

Mine would probably be chickens, but I think that's getting a bit more common nowadays!

When I was about 5 we looked after my uncle's degu. Sure they aren't exactly odd but for a 5 year old they are some crazy mix between mice and rabbits and it blew my mind
I used to have a terrapin when I was a child
There was a goat in my grandad's farm and I used to hang out with her when i visited during the vacations. She didn't do much, she just kinda ate hay all day and I used to sit there for ages just watching. It was really cool

I had a whole green house full of pet butterflies in my grandads house because his before his wife died she said she'd come back as a butterfly so he looks after them now
There was a squirrel that may as well of been a pet at the end of grandparents garden when I was a kid.

Other than, I've only ever had the typical kind of pets (Cats, Dogs, Fish, Hamsters & Rats).
oh yh and my auntie had a goat names Petherton. ..idk why tho
I had a Himalayan rescue guinea pig for a few months, sadly he died of a seizure

Thank you :hugs:
am ok about it since i've had 8 guinea pigs 6 of whom have been rescues so when one dies at least it frees up a space for another one to be re-homed (we only keep the max of 3 at a time) i guess? it is very sad but sadly rescues do come with some health problems some of the time and whatever caused his seizure had just been unluckily unnoticed by the rspca. On a happier note one of my rescues is 6 and still going strong  just depends on the luck of the draw really with these things
he's definitely the strangest looking one ive had though !
My great uncle used to have an albino African Pygmy hedgehog

An Evertonian.
A ferret
She was a little angel, so sad that she passed away
Most ferrets bite and are quite nasty but she was like a baby, would love to be wrapped up in a blanket snuggled up against my chest to go to sleep, her little claws wrapped round my finger. She loved anything sweet, cream, ice cream, yogurt etc but ate meat and fish as well. Best thing was if you sat with her on your knee laid back against you (like she was sitting up) and put a bit of yogurt on her belly she would be entertained for ages licking it off! Don’t think any other ferret was like her, she was a one off! They have a life expectancy of around 3 but she made it to a week before her 9th birthday, and she is now buried in the corner of our garden
I still go and speak to her sometimes
Chipmunks.

Never again.

Homicidal wee b'stards.
