Strengths

1. Experienced and trained Staff to meet high standards of customer service

2. Gold class service offers a unique experience compared to our competitors

3. A range of services are available to the customers to fulfill an overall satisfying experience which is unique within the industry

4. Other means of making money; not only the movies, but also food, drinks, services and hiring

5. Pricing strategy enables a range of customers to engage in the experience within their levels of income

– Children

– Concession

– Elderly

– Family Passes

6. Location of this outdoor cinema offers the developing areas a chance to be exposed to activities that they do not have to drive a large distance for

7. New company brings an exciting new adventure that people haven't been exposed to before

8. Seating arrangements are comfortable and customisable to suit the individual

9. Online booking services

10. Less time spent on building the outdoor cinema than the inside one

Weaknesses

1. Price is more expensive than an in-door cinema- unique experience so people don't mind paying a bit more

2. High set-up costs- cover that in the future

3. High level of 'red tape' to clarify from authorities

4. Traffic congestion as all of the customers will be arriving and leaving at the same time- separate entry and exits, have staff directing traffic to ensure quick and safe movement of people and cars

5. Reputation- our company has not got an established brand or reputation as it is new, therefore it is very risky- establish a good reputation using marketing

6. Limited number of people who can view each screening due to site size- book advance online to avoid disappointment

Opportunities

1. Lack of competition- There are no other outdoor movie cinemas in the vicinity

2. Broad target market, can account for irregular visits from specific groups of people

3. Increased disposable income in todays economy, therefore people are willing to engage in these types of attractions and activities

4. High recent movie attendance- Recent surveys have shown that there are a larger number of people who are going to movie cinemas and restaurants, as opposed to shopping centers

5. Loyalty programs encourage repeat customers

Threats

1. Weather conditions that prevent the customers opportunity to watch movies- allowed cars to come in winter to convert to drive in, hiring of pillows and blankets and car visor to overcome possibility of rain

2. Competing cinemas (both outdoor and indoor)- offered unique experience with gold class, competitive prices

3. Restrictive licenses if the 'red tapes' are not approved by authorities

- Police may receive noise complaints

- Alcohol restrictions and duty of care for the provision of alcohol- own responsibility

- Movie screening licensing

- Number of cars in a given area restrictions
