I may have feeling for someone else...

I have been with my girlfriend for over a year I care about her deeply however we go to different colleges and i have a crush on this girl from a distance, I would never cheat on my girlfriend or ask for another girls number whist im in a relationship but i have been really struggling with these emotions.
I have been captivated by this girl i see in the cafeteria, something about her just really gets to me even though i don't even know her name, I'm not even the type of person to focus on looks.
My and my girlfriend have been having our problems and we have split a couple times but always come back together
I really don't know what to do guys...
maybe go on a break from your girlfriend and tell her you want to explore other options too and are confused. tell her you feel like you can only be in a relationship if no one else catches your eye and are not tempted to cheat. basically break up with her, or tell her youre no longer exclusive, ask this other girl out, see your options and then make an informed decision.
or at least thats how i would go about it
