I study eng lit at alevels and the one major thing i struggle with is poetry in terms of how to apporach and answer poetry questions as well as the task of being able to rmbr the poems. Any tips would rlly be appreciated.

write them down (SERIOUSLY)

science has shown that just repeatedly reading isn't enough

you have to write them,reproduce them in different colours, each line differently, with your left hand (if right handed), then change
using sideways paper, using L A R G E G A P S - something to make your mind work, so it will stick in long-term memory

do this now
do it tomorrow
do it next week
do it next month
do it next year - and you'll remember it for life (was also a scientific fact)

This was all tested in a psychology lab wher they got students to read and write stuff about aliens, not poetry, and the wackier the font & colour, the better the remembering
