do your research or check your supposed facts before posting such nonsense, first deloitte don't do a school leaver scheme, second that 25k will most likely be for a first year grad doing an ACA, why the hell would they shell out that much on a school leaver who has a year + left till he/she learns the ACA

PwC and KPMG pay similar, with KPMG paying slightly more (+ there's lunch allowances at KPMG as well so it increases further)

£19,500 p/a is the salary in the London office i believe (although check with GradRec to confirm) + I would say a good £500+ is on food allowances on top, i.e. £20,000 total

Brilliant..Thanks for your help!
This may be a silly question (and it probably is) but do KPMG or PwC for example, offer anything towards travel expenses? Didn't know if there were any added benefits like these to the job?
sorry just asked and the salary is actually £19,500n (£20,000 to £20,500 with the food allowances etc)

no you pay for your own travel to the office, anything further than that such as going to a clients (whatever transport you use, i.e. taxi's and trains etc) they will reimburse you fr

Firstly, thanks for the neg rep.

I am sorry as i got confused between the school leaver scheme and the gap year programme which deloitte does. In the gap year programme, they do indeed pay u £25 k trust me because a guy from our school got into it and thats what he told us.

You could have politely messaged me before neg repping.

Thats alot compared to the local firm ive applied for which starts at 10.5k...

What's the starting salary for someone with a graduate degree of a first? I take the "school" in this thread title as in sixth form or college and not university yes?

first off i can promise you this much that i'm not as petty leaving neg rep - it's useless, if i have a problem with something you say, as you can see from the above, i will address you with it

also please grow up, deloitte DO NOT PAY £25k for there gap programme, simple logic would deduce that as your not training for a qualification and are effectively monkeys (or lackys so to speak) you will not get paid anywhere near £25k - graduates get paid £27k, what the hell makes some a-level kid with no knowledge about audit worth £25k

they pay in the region of all big4 £16,000-£18,000 per annum at best - your temp staff for them so trust me this is the region you get paid

i'm also not going to even bother mentioning that that 'boy' who went to your school is so obviously lying, you've got taken for a mug frankly if you believe his word to be any where truthful

PS. you actually get paid in the region of £9,000 as the salaries the big4 state are per annum and you only work there for about 7 months (take taxes off and it reduces further)

thats pretty much in line with the big4, that £25k thing was just misinformed BS

Well you are mistaken. Or he is mistaken. Why would they pay the people on the Scholars scheme considerably more than a graduate? Deloitte's Scholars scheme is £1500 a month for a 7 month placement and then a £1500 travel bursary (and then other bursaries through university but even with those it does not come anywhere near to £25k). £25k is most likely the starting salary you would earn after 4 years (i.e. your gap year and then your degree).

Yes they meant school not university. It doesnt matter whether you graduate with a 1st or a 2.i they will still start you on the same salary.

Your a total ******
haha why exactly?

the post about a £25k was obviously mis-informed and he/she didn't back down - which could have affected someone who may be thinking of applying to such a scheme, and thinking that a £25k salary is their for the taking

personally i value YAWYE's opinion more so than any other one in this thread, yes it may be harsh but at least its accurate (and not like that 25k BS) and factual etc

Im just saying that youarewhatyoueat is putting some person down, for no reason, who is just slightly un-educated in the KPMG school leavers programme.
well (a) its not the KPMG school leaver programme that the person got the wrong salary for and (b) it isn't difficult to use abit of logic for gods sakes and deduce that £25k is not a salary that a school leaver would get
I was just wondering from when do you get starting salary with KPMG. Sounds like a stupid question but is it after the 6 training years or from the very start?
