We won’t do your homework for you; you need to think about the functional groups of these two molecules. The first one sounds like an alcohol, the second one like a carboxylic acid

You could use sodium carbonate. It would neutralise the butanoic acid, but wouldnt react with cyclobutanol. Pretty simple stuff

Yes. On one test tube effervescence will be observed because of Hydrogen gas This is butanoic acid.

Could also use potassium dichromate six in acidified solution and heat would turn orange to green as it’s a secondary alcohol being oxidised to a ketone

No. Read question again. Sodium is used. To prove it is hydrogen gas a pop will be heard when a lighted splint is applied to the gas produced.
