'With ape like fury' - can connect to Darwin's theory of evolution
'Hardly human'
'The man trampled calmly'
'The low growl of London'
'Fog rolled over the city' - pathetic fallacy (fog hides the true nature of the town and also covers over Jekyll's secrets)
'If he be Mr Hyde, I shall be Mr Seek'
'A man of rugged countenance' - describing Utterson
'Satan's signature upon a face'
'Chief of sinners' - describing Jekyll
'House of voluntary bondage' - describing Jekyll's house
'Mr Hyde was pale and dwarfish'
