Hi , so I was just wondering, for English Literature paper 1, what type of questions come up. I know we have 2 questions but, I'm confused on what type of question it will be. I'm doing Romeo and Juliet, so does that mean I could either get a question on a theme or a question on a character. (AQA). Please could somebody help me out I'm literally failing omg :0 and we can all exchange revision tips down below cos I need some help with that as well! Sorry, for making this so long xxxx

English Literature Paper 1
Section A: Shakespeare [34 Marks]
Question about a theme or a character
Section B: 19th Century Novel [30 Marks]
Question about a Character (I haven't seen a question about a specific theme, mostly it is just "How does [the writer] present [character]").

I would say maybe 3-4 good quotes per theme per character if possible, what texts are you studying?

My teacher said ‘there’s no such thing as a theme question or a character question’ so basically even though the question will ask about a specific thing, you should comment on characters and themes in any answer

I only do AIC lol, and I haven't done any quotes yet (I will probably do them tomorrow) but the main themes are:
Responsibility, Political views on capitalism/socialism.
Mr Bruff will probably help with the rest if not I suggest looking at the York Notes website, they have books for each character you can buy (ebooks and printable copies) as well as key points etc.
