CB2: confirmation of benefits form!!

hey guys, im having soo many problems with applying for student finance! rrgh!, started off with my ART id number doubling up wiv somebody elses!!, then sending in my birth certificate and them LOSING IT!!!
ok heres my next problem:
my mum recieves income support, and so they require her to fill out a CB2 form to confirm that she recieves it. she fills out one sheet and it CLEARLY states that the second part should be filled out by a 'jobcentre plus'.
so my mum rings our local jobcentre plus and explains the situation and they say that 'they do not deal with benefits anymore!!??'...what?. after hearing this i ring the studentfinance company and the guy tells me that they 'SHOULD' fill it out for you and basically that they were just talking nonsence...he suggested that me and my mum just physically go there and ask them to fill it out. having dealt with the jobcentre in the past i know they are really strict with appointments and wont see anybody without one, so i stupidly call them again in the hope of getting another phone operator who might tell me something different..but NO...same thing 'they dont deal with it anymore', i asked him wether i should just turn up (like the SF guy suggested) but he said that we wont even get seen to!
...anybody having the same problems?..what should i do?

They should still deal with benefits. (what I got told by connexions) Ask to talk to a benefits adviser.
Can't she just send her benefits confirmation letter off?

I had this problem with my daughter, still am. I phoned the main JCPlus in Watford and they gave me an AJAX diary appointment at my local jcplus, she also said they were being difficult by refusing to see us or fill in the form. They have also lost all my original documents, some of them very important and like passing the buck. totally useless. this is not a very good system, its too stressful and takes too long to get sorted.
My daughter is still waiting for someone to fill the form out without losing it or doing it wrong...nearly 3 months after I first submitted the original form! off to download yet another CB2, wish me luck for Monday

Jobcentre stuff has been centralised to Gloucestershire (bit like student finance has been centralised to Darlington) so they are right in a way

However, they should still be able to access your records and fill in the CB2 for you

Just go down there - I am sure a friendly member of staff will do you a favour

SFE are going to have to revise their CB2 forms if this is going to happen from now on though

I went with my mom aswell to get it filled in and they said the same thing, but they took the form off us at sent it to Income Support, haven't received anything back though yet. :frown:

Would they not be able to fill out the CB2 form there and then? or do you have to book an appointment and they keep it for ages? lol
