Is there a mechanism (aqa) that takes you from an alkene to an alkane? I know that electrophilic addition can get you a haloalkane, but what about just an alkane? Also, is there a mechanism to convert from an alkyl hydrogensulphate to an alcohol? Also, am I correct in saying that to go from an amine to amide, you need to use acylation (and thus the nucleophilic addition elimination mechanism)?

Also, is there a mechanism to go from a haloalkane to an alkene? Any help would be much appreciated.

Electrophillic addition wih hydrogen and a Nickel catalyst.

Not sure

Yes, to make an amide you react an -oyl chloride with an amine.

Halogenoalkane heated under reflux with ethanolic potassium hydroxide will result in an alkene.
