I’m currently studying sociology at university and also work part time at a drug and alcohol rehab. I want to learn more about addiction, I don’t do any of the therapy side of things in my current role but this is what I’d like to go into after uni. I was thinking about doing an online paid accredited drug and alcohol counselling level 3 course. Hopefully this would look good on my cv and help me
Move up after uni but also give me more specific knowledge on the subject. I’m just not 100% sure if there’s anything better I could do, courses etc? The online ones would be great to do over summer while I’m off uni, and most give you a year to complete them

I just did a diploma in Advanced CBT online with New Skills Academy for the reduced price of £20. It was informative. I'm going to start one on drugs and alcohol next which looks good. They're recognised CPD courses too. If you contact New Skills Academy on Facebook they will give you a code for a discount.
